What to expect
What happens when you come in
When you walk in, you will be greeted by one of our fitting specialists. Have a look around, and when you are ready we do a quick measurement to find a starting size. You don't take anything off for this; we are trained to measure accurately over what you are already wearing.
We talk through what you are looking for, then bring you a range of styles to try. We do like to check the fit in the fitting room, and we only come in if you are happy for us to. We ask how each one feels and looks, because you have to be comfortable in it.
It can take a few styles and sizes to find your best fit, so an average fitting runs 15 to 45 minutes. Please allow enough time for your visit.
Fitting tips
How to tell a bra fits
- The band does most of the work. It should anchor firmly around your body. A band that's too big rides up at the back and drops at the front; too small and it strains and pulls at the hooks.
- The underwires should sit flat against your ribcage and stay there when you raise your arms. They should sit between the breasts for separation, and fully encase the breast at the sides. You shouldn't be able to feel them.
- The cups should sit flush, with uplift, support and separation, and no cutting across the top of the breast. If the top of the cup cuts in, you need a bigger cup.
- The straps should feel firm but comfortable; you should fit two fingers underneath. Ask us about J-hooks and racer-back conversions if your straps slip.

One breast larger than the other?
You're in good company; three out of four women we see are the same. We fit your fuller side and choose styles, often with stretch lace tops, that make the difference disappear under clothes.
Straps always slipping?
Usually the band is too big, so the straps sit too far out on the shoulders. A better-fitting band, J-hooks, or silicone strap cushions all fix it.
You stay dressed for the measurement. We only enter the fitting room if you want us to.
